Hello!

I am currently a junior at the University of Missouri, where I study Strategic Communications with a minor in Psychological Sciences. I love getting to tell stories through writing and am eager to explore opportunities in the field of strategic communications!

In my spare time, I love to read and write fiction, as well as play video games and go on walks. Additionally, I play the cello in the University of Missouri Philharmonic Orchestra. Lastly, as a member of the American Advertising Federation, I’ve connected with numerous individuals in the advertising industry, and I am always ready to put my best foot forward.

Projects

Here are some of the projects I’ve worked on recently, along with what role I had in them.

Steak ‘N Shake

For this course, I was assigned to a team of six strategic communications majors, whereupon we were tasked to create our own advertising agency and then build a full ad campaign for our client, Steak ‘N Shake. As the head copywriter for our agency, 26 & Co., I was responsible for creating copy for our brand and logo usage standards, as well as a line of print ads. Additionally, I also co-wrote the script and storyboard for a 30-second TV ad.

Other responsibilities I shared included coordinating with my team’s account manager, PR specialist and art directors to ensure our campaign was finished in a timely manner.

LinkedByJo

For this assignment, I and my team of strategic communications majors were tasked with identifying a potential business client in Columbia, Missouri that did not currently have an established web presence. Our client was LinkedByJo, a permanent jewelry business owned and operated Josie Ross, who was eager to hire our team to build a website for her.

My responsibilities for this project included writing copy for the website, including staff profiles, informational pages and a press release for the website’s publication. In collaboration with my team, I also aided in designing the website’s layout.
